A petition has been launched calling for the ACT Government to take urgent action to address the poor maintenance of public housing properties.

More than 150 people have signed amid reports of faulty locks, electrical faults and cooking appliances failing.

Shadow Housing Minister Mark Parton says little has been done to address the issue.
