ACT Policing has seized two vehicles after an unaccompanied learner driver and a P plater were caught street racing in Greenway on Saturday night.

About 11.10pm on Saturday, police in an unmarked vehicle saw two cars racing each other on Drakeford Drive.

During the incident, both cars reached speeds of up to 148 kays in an 80 zone, prior to officers conducting a traffic stop.

Both cars were seized and the drivers, both 18 year old men, will be summonsed to appear before the court at a later date.

ACT Policing reminds all drivers of their obligations towards road safety for themselves and others, and antisocial and dangerous driving behaviour will not be tolerated.
