An 18-year-old Pearce man will face court after allegedly sexually assaulting a teenage girl at a house party in Molonglo over the weekend.
On the evening of April 10, the man attended the house party, before leaving with a girl known to him and walking to a nearby park.
Police will allege that while at the park the man engaged in a series of unwanted and non-consensual acts, despite her repeatedly telling him to stop.
The incident was reported to police the following day on Saturday April 11, and an investigation commenced.
Police attended the man’s residence in Pearce on April 14 and he was subsequently arrested.
He has been charged with six counts of acts of indecency without consent and one count of act of indecency third degree.
ACT Policing reminds the community that inappropriate or unwanted sexual behaviour can be reported to police by attending a police station or calling 131444.
