A 16-year-old girl will face court after allegedly stealing more than $8,000 worth of alcohol over a 10 day period.

It’s alleged the teen stole alcohol from two stores in Amaroo and Charnwood between March 20 and March 30.

On one occasion, the girl entered the store in Amaroo and allegedly stole more than $1,000 worth of alcohol before leaving the store.

Following enquiries, officers attended the girl’s residence on April 5 where she was arrested.

She has been charged with multiple counts of theft and is due to appear before the ACT Childrens Court on April 7.
