Canberra-based developer, Hindmarsh, has submitted a development application for a project which would deliver 326 units in Woden.

The $114.4 million proposal for the build-to-rent project in Woden will comprise of 16 and 12 storey towers containing one, two and three bedroom apartments and studio units.

Region reporting three-quarters of these units will be affordable or social housing.

The DA says the units are mostly one and two-bedroom units to cater for students, single-person households, couples and small families while the three-bedroom units are intended for larger families.

Residents will enjoy the sun, with the DA also saying the building is optimised to capture sunshine, with about 71 per cent of units receiving more than two hours of direct sunlight per day.

The DA is open to comment until 24 April.
