The A.C.T. Government says any further criminal proceedings against Bruce Lehrmann would be a matter for the territory’s Director of Public Prosecutions.

In the wording by Federal Court Justice MICHAEL LEE – he’s satisfied to a civil standard, Mr Lehrmann had, “…more likely than not, raped Brittany Higgins at Parliament house five years ago….”

Mr Lehrmann had repeatedly denied the claim – but this week, failed in bringing defamation action.

In the wake of Justice Lee’s determination – A representative for the Justice and Community Safety Directorate has stated, any decision to progress criminal proceedings in the A.C.T. – lies with the territory’s director of Public Prosecutions, who has the discretion to consider a wide range of factors to determine whether to prosecute a case.
