A 33-year-old Kingston man who was released on parole in February, has been charged with drug dealing after significant amounts of illicit drugs were found in a Phillip unit.

Last week, police received information that a man who was staying in a short-term rental unit in Phillip was allegedly in possession of a significant amount of illicit drugs and he was allegedly selling them from the unit.

On March 17th, police executed a search warrant of the unit and found meth, heroin, cocaine, MDMA, four mobile phones, scales, ziploc bags and other items commonly used in drug distribution, and more than 52-thousand dollars in cash.

The seized drugs have a potential street value of over 500-thousand dollars.

On Tuesday night this week, officers from the Proactive Policing team attended a home in Giralang and located the man who was arrested.

Further drugs and cash were found at this house.

He faced court on Wednesday and was remanded in custody.
