The Greens have not only come out in support of extending Light Rail in Canberra – but want it built faster

The A.C.T. Greens want to see the Woden leg completed BEFORE Labor’s deadline, set for 2033.

Greens transport spokesperson Jo Clay says the party is pleased with the success of light rail in the last five years, and now’s the time to extend it… but the timeline is in question.

ACT Labor say it can’t deliver the light rail extension before 2033, but the Greens don’t accept that… saying stage 2B construction could be brought forward to coincide with work on stage 2A…. looking at it as a continuous construction project for the network…
