Cusack’s Furniture will shut its doors after 108 years of service to the ACT Region

Founded in 1918, Cusack’s Furniture is one of the longest running continuous businesses in the Canberra region and has remained family owned throughout its history.

In a statement, the businesses says it’s made the decision to close the family-owned business as the next generation of the family pursues opportunities outside the retail sector.

The business will continue to trade until the end of October 2026.

Details regarding the closing timeline and any final sale events will be shared in the coming weeks. Until then, it remains business as usual at Cusack’s.
