Big business in the A.C.T. is being warned – incoming environmental laws could see fines of nearly 800-million dollars being handed out.

It’s part of the Albanese Government landmark national environmental law reform…. entitled “NATURE POSITIVE PLAN”.

It was expected to be introduced in Federal Parliament by the end of last year… but is NOW expected, in the coming weeks.

Under the reforms, projects or developments – such as mines, land clearing and forestry that might impact animals, plants and habitats of national significance would require federal assessment and approval.

Otherwise, Courts could impose fines of nearly 800-million dollars or imprisonment for up to seven years.
