Canberrans on an aged pension will receive a small boost this week.

Eligible recipients will receive an extra $22.40 per fortnight as part of their payment for couples, and $14.80 for singles.

Ian Henschke from National Seniors says the increase may not seem like a lot, but for many seniors, every little bit helps.
