In what was a sad end to National Road Safety week, two Canberra drivers were clocked going 140km/h in an 80km/h zone Sunday morning.

Police say a black Mitsubishi Evolution and a white Nissan Skyline who were travelling next to each other at an excessive speed, have had their cars seized.

Police caught a further 92 speeding drivers, seven unregistered drivers, and seven drink drivers.
