Two prescribed hazard reduction burns are scheduled for today across the territory.

Bluetts Block in Denman Prospect and Aranda Bushland Nature Reserve will see experienced ACT Parks and Conservation Service fire managers on scene to conduct and oversee the burning operations.

Every effort is made to conduct burns in weather conditions that will minimise the impact of smoke, but temporary smoke cover is possible and may be visible across parts of Canberra.

Smoke, flame, and glowing embers may be seen at this site, which is normal for these types of operations.

The public are asked to not call emergency triple-zero unless they see an unattended fire.
