ACT Policing has charged a 40-year-old man following an incident at a City entertainment venue on Saturday night.

Police confirmed to Capital Radio Network that a 40-year-old man entered the Holey Moley venue on Cooyong Street around 8.40pm on Saturday wearing a face covering and approached patrons in the foyer.

He allegedly produced a scissor blade and threatened to kill a male patron before holding the blade against his neck.

The 40 year old then left the building, forcefully kicking the door open in the process.

The incident was reported to police and he was found a short time later on Bunda Street still holding the blade, and was arrested.

The man, who was subject to bail conditions, will face court today.
