A 33-year-old man has been charged with multiple offences following an investigation into a violent home invasion that occurred in Isabella Plains in February.

On the evening of February 5th multiple people allegedly forcibly entered an Isabella Plains home, seriously assaulted a man who lived there and fled with a safe, which was later found in Greenway.

As part of the investigation, four people have already been charged and on Tuesday, police arrested another person of interest.

As part of a search of the man’s home, police found 10 shotgun shells, 79 rounds of .22 ammunition, a large quantity of a substance believed to be methylamphetamine, two large knives, a large quantity of cash and other items used in the trafficking of illicit drugs.

The 33-year-old was subsequently charged and faced the ACT Magistrates Court yesterday via a bedside hearing.

The investigation into the February incident is continuing with further search warrant activity expected.
