A 32 year old man will face court today after he allegedly assaulted his former partner and lied to hospital staff about her injuries.

Last month, the man breached a family violence order by visiting his former partner’s house.

When the woman tried to get him to leave, he allegedly closed a door on her arm, causing serious injuries.

The victim tried to call an ambulance but he reportedly threw her phone at a wall and drove her to hospital himself where he lied about how she became injured.

The incident was reported to police and the man was arrested in Taylor yesterday.
