The ACT Government is boosting frontline services with new investments in more first responders, new infrastructure, upgraded workshops and new equipment.

The $94.3 million investment over four years is part of the territory’s upcoming budget and will see 32 new roles for paramedics, including 20 ambulance paramedics, six intensive care paramedics and six operational support positions.

Funding has also been promised for 35 new firefighters and support staff, and an additional recruit college for 2026-2027.

$5 million is set to go towards modernising the response systems used by the emergency services, including the radio systems.
