50 guests from Greater Western Sydney who were staying at a Braddon hotel have been escorted back across the border by police.

The Canberra Times reports the guests were in direct breach of quarantine having come from the New South Wales COVID lockdown area.

All had been in the Greater Sydney area since June 21 and did not have exemptions to be in the ACT.

Police are considering further action against those in violation of the lockdown.
