A temporary rubbish-only drop-off site on Phillip Avenue in Ainslie has been opened following the missed waste bin collections in Ainslie and Hackett on Friday 20th November 2020.

Recycling bins in these areas were collected.

Up to three large plastic bags of household waste can be disposed of for free at a number of temporary rubbish-only drop-off sites around Canberra.

The new temporary rubbish-only drop-off site can be found on Phillip Avenue in Ainslie, at the start of the nature reserve, near the old Ainslie Transfer Station.

This site will be open from 9 am to 6 pm daily until Thursday 26 November 2020.

The disruption to waste collection services around Canberra is due to the protected industrial action by drivers as a pay negotiations go unresolved.

Disruptions to this weeks services is as yet, unknown.
