The Forrest Tennis Club is one of only three required institutions in Australia which have failed to sign up to the national redress scheme.

Minister for Families and Social Services Anne Ruston said it was unacceptable the club was not fulfilling their “moral obligation” in relation to the royal commission into victims of institutional child sexual abuse.

As a result the tennis club has been banned from receiving Australian government grants and may have any relevant charitable status’s revoked.
