Disability support workers, in home and community aged care workers in the ACT will soon need to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

Staff working across these sectors will be required to receive their first dose by the 1st of November and be fully vaccinated by the 29th.

Disability Minister Emma Davidson says the most vulnerable in our community must be protected.

“Everyone is keen to see this happen,” said Minister Davidson.

“The reason for that is we know that people with underlying health conditions, for example people who are participating in the NDIS, are at more risk if they were to contract this virus.”
