The ACT Emergency Services Agency has declared a total fire ban for this Saturday January 10, with a fire danger rating of extreme.

It will be an offence to light, maintain, or use a fire in the open air, undertake high-risk activities such as welding, grinding, soldering, and gas cutting.

Gas or electric barbeques may be used if they are supervised and have water or a fire extinguisher nearby.
