A former judge’s bid to have corrupt conduct claims against him thrown may have hit a road block
Walter Sofronoff was found to have engaged in serious and corrupt conduct during the inquiry, while he scrutinised the handling of the Parliament House Rape Trial.
He’s asked the federal court to squash the findings, but it’s been revealed the report may be protected by Parliamentary Priviledge, with the ACT Integrity Commission overseen by a Parliamentary Committee.
The case is due to return to court in July.
