A 48-year-old man from Ngunnawal has been arrested after allegedly committing an indecent act in Gungahlin..

About 1.30pm Tuesday, 8 April 2025, police were called to the Gungahlin Library after receiving reports a man had allegedly committed an indecent act while in the library.

After speaking to staff and witnesses, a 48-year-old man from Ngunnawal was located a short time later by police in the Gungahlin shopping centre.

He was taken into custody and will be issued with a summons to appear in court at a later date.

Witnesses to the incident have been provided support services.
