Opposition Leader Mark Parton has admitted to sending a text message saying ”my job is boring, wanna swap”, but denies it was sent to a sex worker.
It’s alleged Mr Parton texted the sex worker during estimates hearings last Friday, with an anonymous complaint sent to the Speaker of the House Jeremy Hanson.
He has denied the allegations against him, saying they were ”politically motivated” and ”false, malicious and a clear attempt to smear” him.
The matter has been referred to police and he is reportedly seeking legal advice.
Mr Parton told media on Thursday that he had no plans of resigning.
