As the Legislative Assembly sits for the first time this year, the ACT government will look to introduce tougher gun laws.

The Bill, to be introduced later this week, would see changes such as the restrictions of the number of firearms individuals can own, re-categorising the types of firearms, and criminalizing the possession of blueprints that can be used to create 3-D printed firearms.

The reforms align with the National Cabinet’s decisions to tighten the laws nationwide.
