It’s official – The Molonglo Valley is now the A.C.T.’s sixth town centre.

The area’s population’s been rising.

Molonglo Valley Community Forum Convenor Ryan Hemsley says the region was forecast to have a population of between 40,000 and 55,000.

He says they’re now on track to have 70,000.

The National Capital Plan has been amended to reflect the new status….

The Federal and ACT Labor Governments have committed to working together to deliver a new community centre in the area, along with upgrades to local streets, parks and green space.
