Spectacular meteor showers are set to light up Canberra skies for three nights only.

Clear skies will be needed to see The Eta Aquarid meteor shower which normally takes place in early May

Dr Brad Tucker from Mt Stromlo Observatory says the shower is renowned as one of the brightest meteor showers to happen each year.
