A man will spend Christmas behind bars after appearing court, charged over the Machete attack of a friend in Wanniassa

The man appeared in the A.C.T. Magistrates Court a week ago after his arrest  over the incident that occurred back in September.

The injured man needed life-saving surgery.

The court was told, the alleged offender took a bus to YASS to get away before police arrived.

In court, the man sought bail, saying he cared for his grand-mother, however, bail was denied when the court was told, his grand mother hasn’t seen him for months.

The case goes back to court next year.
