A man has died after being hit by a truck on the South Coast.

Police say he was crossing the Princes Highway in Ulladulla when he was struck at around 3pm yesterday.

The man died at the scene and is yet to be formally identified.

The male truck driver was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
