A 43 year old Giralang man who is currently subject to bail conditions will face court today after allegedly strangling and assaulting his partner during two family violence incidents earlier this week.
It’s alleged on Monday evening, the 43 year old pushed his partner to the ground before strangling her to the point of unconsciousness.
In a second incident yesterday morning, police allege the man grabbed the woman, pinned her to a couch and strangled her before punching her multiple times in the head.
The incident was reported to police and the man was arrested a short time later.
ACT Policing stands ready to assist victims experiencing family violence.
