The pilot of a light plane is lucky to be alive after crashing on Sunday Afternoon.
A.C.T. Policing advised the following:-
- About 3.35pm (Sunday, 4 May 2025) emergency services were called to a private grass runway off Tharwa Drive, Tharwa following a light aircraft collision. A single engine fixed wing aircraft was found on its roof at the scene.
- The sole occupant, the male pilot, received minor injuries and was attended to by ACT Ambulance Service paramedics.
- Investigations into the cause of the collision are underway. Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via www.crimestoppers.com.au quoting P2347761
