It seems Canberrans are living longer compared with those in the rest of the country.

Figures from the Bureau of Statistics have revealed, Men and women, living in the A.C.T. have the highest life expectancy in the country.

MEN will live until 81.7 years of age. Those in W.A. are just shy of that figure – coming in at 81.6… followed by Victoria.

The A.C.T. and Western Australia have the same life expectancy for women at 85.7 years.

However, the bureau’s figures have also revealed, the National life expectancy figure has dipped nationally… POINT ONE of a year for men, and POINT TWO for women.
