The ACT Government is releasing land for the staged delivery of the Kingston Arts Precinct set to complement the current Kingston Foreshore and deliver more homes for locals.
Located next to the Former Transport Depot, the integrated development aims at paving the way for the future Kingston Arts Precinct by securing up to 250 new homes and more than 21,000m2 of residential, hotel, hospitality, retail and commercial opportunities.
Chief Minister Andrew Barr says the Kingston Quarter is the first stage of the precinct and an important next step in the continued transformation of the Kingston Foreshore.
“The initial land release will support the delivery of public parking, end-of-trip facilities and artist housing,” Mr Barr says.
“Once that parking capacity is in place, further stages of the Precinct can move forward with confidence.”
