The two teenage boys allegedly struck by a stolen car in Griffith last week are in a stable condition in hospital.
The teenagers, aged 14 and 15, were seriously injured on Friday, while they were crossing the road to get to class at St Edmund’s College in Griffith.
31-year old Victorian man Tayler Hazell allegedly stole the car from a childcare centre in Sutton, before taking it across the border, hitting the boys, then crashing the car in Manuka shortly after.
He faced the ACT Magistrates Court on Sunday and was ordered to go to Canberra Hospital to determine if he needed treatment, or care due to mental impairment.
He will face court again at a later date.
