Three orthopaedic surgeons have resigned from the Canberra Hospital.
It’s understood to relate to operational concerns, with a recent letter signed by 15 orthopedic surgeons expressing a vote of no confidence in the administration of ACT Health and Canberra Hospital.
One of the resignations is Paul Smith, who has been leading the orthopedic unit at Canberra Hospital for more than two decades.
He says he could no longer work in an environment under the current Canberra Health Services Leadership.
