Government House is postponing this weekend’s annual “OPEN DAY” event over safety concerns.

The open day was set to happen on Saturday, but concern about trees recently impacted by storm activity has led to the postponement.

It comes weeks after a school student was critically injured during an excursion from a falling branch, which has raised question marks over whether school trips will continue at Government House.

It means Government House won’t be open to the public until Spring.
