There’s further good news for the Canberra based National Convention and Entertainment Precinct, along with a change for the city’s Aquatic Centre
The Albanese government has unveiled a 100-million dollar pre-election pledge to invest in the Precinct as well as the Aquatic Centre in Civic.
The territory’s government planning to match the funding investment to contribute to Canberra’s infrastructure.
Chief Minister Andrew Barr says the new Entertainment centre would have 8000 seats to host conferences, live music, entertainment and indoor sports.
The project will also deliver a new Canberra Aquatic Centre in the heart of the city, seeing the current civic pool upgraded and rehomed in Commonwealth Park.
