Supermarket giant Woolworths has been told to go back to the drawing board, after the government said it’s proposal didn’t meet its expectations.

Planning Minister Chris Steel previously said the government would be looking for developers to invest in modern shopping precincts, that included more housing.

Woolworths will have another chance to put forward a proposal that fits the government’s vision for Canberra.
