Call for FREE Driving Lessons

The A.C.T. Government’s considering a recommendation to make driving lessons FREE for young low-income locals.

The recommendation comes from a youth advisory group –

In a report – the group says low income young people in the A.C.T. need access to free driving lessons, to make it easier to access jobs and education.

It’s also recommended, – Public Transport should be FREE for young people….

and in another recommendation: – a one-off grant payment for first-time renters, to help cover the costs associated with moving out of home.

Last week, the report was tabled in the Legislative Assembly for further consideration.
