Event Navigation
Join us for an extraordinary musical experience as we bring the National Museum’s AE Smith string quartet to life.
Arthur Edward Smith, widely regarded as Australia’s most important violin maker, crafted instruments that have been played by some of the world’s greatest musicians, shaping music and musical careers in Australia for over 80 years.
Featuring musicians from the Canberra Symphony Orchestra and insights from the National Museum’s curators and conservators, this special event weaves together music, storytelling and conversation about these historic instruments and their maker.
Presented in partnership with the Canberra Symphony Orchestra.
