Man Pleads Not Guilty To Eden Waugh Murder

The man accused of killing Canberra artist Eden Waugh has pleaded not guilty.

31-year-old Tavake Lee Pikula faced the ACT Magistrates Court today, charged with murder and aggravated burglary.

The sentenced prisoner from New South Wales pleaded not guilty to both charges and did not apply for bail.

Police allege the 31-year-old shot Eden Waugh in the chest in a Watson apartment last November.

Mr Waugh's parents, Elaine and David, travelled from New South Wales to be at today's hearing, thanking police as they left.

Mr. Pikula will face court again on February 16.
