Learner Motorbike Rider caught drunk riding twice in two hours

ACT Police have apprehended a learner motorcyclist after he was caught riding twice while intoxicated within two hours.

At about 3.40 pm on Sunday, the 28-year-old was pulled over on Belconnen Way and returned a breath analysis reading of .114.

His licence was suspended and he was released from custody to face court at a later date.

However, at about 5.15 pm that same day, he was observed running a red light in Belconnen.

He returned another breath analysis reading of .117

The man will face the ACT Magistrates Court next month on two counts of drink driving, riding while licence suspended and ride through a red light.
