The driver of the ute was attempting to reverse out of the carpark when he collided with another vehicle and was subsequently stopped by members of the public who contacted police.

He was conveyed to the Tuggeranong Police Station where he recorded a blood alcohol reading of .224.

The man's licence was suspended on the spot and he now faces a number of charges related to the offence.
