Drink driver caught more than seven times the limit

Category: Capital Radio News

A Wanniassa man has been charged after allegedly being caught driving at more than seven times the legal alcohol limit.

Police were conducting mobile patrols in Hughes yesterday afternoon when the 37 year old allegedly drove through a stop sign.

He was stopped by police a short time later and underwent a roadside alcohol test, before again being tested back at Woden Police Station where officers say he blew 0.351.

He's been charged with high range drink driving and will face the ACT Magistrates Court today.
