Man arrested after intimidating police after refusing to wear a mask at NSW Ski Resort

A man who allegedly refused to wear a mask at a Snowy Mountains Ski Resort and intimidated Police has been charged.

At about 10am yesterday, a 43-year-old Kellyville man was directed to cover his face in line with the ski resorts COVID safe plan.

The man allegedly refused to comply and became aggressive and argumentative with staff.

He was asked to leave and refused, Police were called.

Officers spoke with the man, he complied with directives to leave.

Later, Police were sitting in their vehicle near Prussian Creek on Kosciuszko Road when the same man allegedly drove past, beeping his horn and swerving across the road.

The man was stopped a short time later and refused a breath test.

He was conveyed to Jindabyne Police Station where he was charged with intimidating police, refusing to produce his licence and other offences.

The man was refused bail to face Queanbeyan Local Court.
