New health orders for people flying to Canberra from Melbourne

Category: Capital Radio News

A new Public Health Direction has been issued in the ACT this morning following the recent surge in coronavirus cases in Victoria.

Anyone identified as having been in one of Melbourne's COVID-19 hotspots will be required to quarantine in the territory for 14 days at their own expense, or return home immediately.

Passengers on inbound flights from Melbourne will be forced to show identification when they arrive at Canberra Airport and penalties and fines may apply to people who fail to comply with the Direction.
