Fast-tracked projects set to upgrade ACT public schools

Category: Capital Radio News

A number of public schools around Canberra have been getting a facelift as part of the ACT Government’s economic stimulus package.

While students have been learning from home, the government has taken the opportunity to commence more than 80 projects worth over 5 million dollars.

The projects include upgrades to the oval at Duffy Primary School, swipe cards at Black Mountain School to improve safety for students and staff, upgrades to classrooms in Florey, a new fence for the preschool area at Gordon Primary School and a fresh coat of paint for Gold Creek School.

Wanniassa Senior School is also getting a 2 million dollar roof upgrade as part of the ongoing Roof Replacement Program.
