More damaging hail could hit Canberra

Category: Capital Radio News

Canberrans are being urged to monitor weather conditions, with the possibility of another supercell storm hitting the capital this afternoon.

The Bureau of Meteorology says we could see hailstones larger than five centimetres, while wind gusts could reach 90 kilometres an hour.

The severe thunderstorm is expected to hit the ACT sometime between 2 and 9 pm today, brought on by a trough that's moving across NSW and out to sea.
