Water from the ACT to be trucked into Braidwood

Water from the ACT will be trucked into Braidwood over the next six months.

The town has been struggling as a result of prolonged drought, the water supply also affected by recent bushfire's.

Up to 300 kilolitres of water will be delivered per day for the next six months.

Meantime, ICON Water says residents in Canberra and Queanbeyan shouldn't be concerned about water quality as its not being impacted by bushfire smoke or debris.

In a statement, they say water is drawn from below the dams water lines and treated to Australian standards.
